The International Institute for the Promotion of Science in Organizations and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “IIPSO,” “we,” “us”) understand that your privacy is of utmost importance and are committed to being transparent about the technologies they use. 1.- What are Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies? IIPSO uses Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies to identify you and your interests, to remember your preferences, and to track your use of our Sites. We also use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies to control access to certain content on our Sites, to secure the Sites, and to process requests you make to us.To administer our Sites and for research purposes, Scienness has also contracted with third-party service providers to track and analyze statistical information about the usage and volume of users of our Sites. These third-party service providers use persistent Cookies to help us improve the user experience, manage the content of our Sites, and analyze how users navigate and use the Sites.
3.- First-Party and Third-Party Cookies “First-Party Cookies” are cookies belonging to Scienness that are placed on your device by Scienness. “Third-Party Cookies” are cookies that a third party places on your device through our Sites. IIPSO may contract with third-party service providers to send emails to users who have provided us with their contact information. To help us measure and improve the effectiveness of our email communications, or to determine whether messages have been opened and links clicked on, third-party service providers may place cookies on these users' devices.

5.- How do we use other tracking technologies in our communications?
Scienness may collect information about whether you open or click on any links in the knowledge, research, or event communications we send you via web beacons.
A web beacon is a graphic image placed on a website or in an email that, alone or in conjunction with cookies, collects information about your use of or interaction with a Scienness website or email. For example, we may add web beacons to the knowledge, research, or event communications we send to you to determine whether you opened our email or clicked on a link. The analytics collected help us improve the effectiveness of the content and format of our websites and our email communications.
6.- How do I deny or withdraw my consent to the use of web beacons?
You can avoid web beacons by setting your email reader to disable the feature that allows remote images to load and by refraining from clicking on links in email messages.
